Best hotel in Sri Lanka! Mind-blowingly clean with delicious food, and the stunning lake view location is jaw-dropping. The staff are super helpful, even when we arrived covered in mud on motorbikes. Highly recommended!

I had an amazing time here! The location right by the lake was simply breathtaking. I loved waking up to the stunning view from my room. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always going the extra mile to make my stay comfortable. The room itself was spacious and well-maintained, with a newly renovated bathroom. The hotel offered a wide range of services, from room service to car hire, which made my stay even more convenient. The free Wi-Fi in the rooms was a definite plus, allowing me to stay connected throughout my stay. The leisure swimming pool was a great place to relax and cool off, and the sun terrace offered a perfect spot to soak up the sun.

The food at the hotel's restaurant was excellent, especially the seafood plate which was the best I've had in Sri Lanka. I highly recommend Mapakada Village for a memorable and relaxing stay.

Serene paradise with stunning lake views, offering a multitude of activities like boat rides, canoeing, and hiking. Delicious Sri Lankan cuisine and friendly hosts. Though small, the rooms offer breathtaking views. Despite minor hiccups like Wi-Fi and service delays, Mapakada Village is a hidden gem worth recommending.

Not one thing.

The food was delicious and the staff were friendly. The location was great, close to a beautiful lake, and the room had everything we needed.

The room had a bad smell and there were bugs on the bed. It was also quite noisy, so it was hard to get a good night's sleep.

Scrumptious Traditional Delicacies: The hotel's restaurant offers a delectable spread of traditional Sri Lankan delicacies cooked using age-old methods. The flavors were so rich and authentic, it felt like a master chef was performing a magical symphony on my taste buds!

No fridge in the room.

The location is great, just by a beautiful natural lake and close to a main pathway below. The staff is friendly and the room is clean. Breakfast is fantastic with local dishes. The restaurant is also very good.

The wifi connection is unreliable and can be frustrating.

Spent New Year at a hotel recently, really enjoyed the nearby lakes and boat ride. The staff was welcoming and accommodating, offered a choice of a hearty Western breakfast or native Sri Lankan dishes. Rooms were spacious and clean with beautiful views of the surrounding nature.

Dinner at the hotel was a letdown, overpriced and unsatisfying. The hotel needs to work on their online communication as it was difficult to arrange a half-board option and the staff was unfriendly when we made the request during our stay.

The hotel's decoration was lovely, with a touch of elegance and charm. The common areas were spacious and beautifully furnished, making it easy for senior people like me to move around comfortably.

It would have been even better if the children working there were trained to be more attentive to the needs of senior guests.
